The Japanese Association at the University of Texas at Austin celebrates its fifth anniversary with their Golden Week Festival on Friday, April 9 from 7pm-10pm at Gregory Gym Plaza (Speedway and 21st) on the UT campus. Golden week is a week-long holiday in Japan that celebrates the Emperor's Birthday, Greenery Day, Shōwa Day, and Children's day. There will be three activities during the week capped off by a festival with traditional Japanese food, games, kanji hena, live music and many other performances.
