To celebrate India’s 64th Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Austin on August 15th at 9:00am. This is the second annual celebration organized by the Indo-American Senior Citizens Association of Austin.
Last year more than 300 people came out for the event and this year, an estimated 500 people are expected to attend the ceremony. Everybody is invited to join the ceremony. Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell and Travis County Judge Samuel Biscoe are among the honorable guests who are expected to join the ceremony.
