Network of Indian Professionals (NetIP) Austin is dedicated to the overall advancement and achievement of South Asian professionals. We are a nonprofit 501c4 organization that fosters professional development, community service, political and cultural awareness. NetIP Austin, in partnership with South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow (SAALT), is participating in “Be the Change 2010” on Saturday October 2, 2010 in honor of Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday.
Be the Change is a national day of service, coordinated by South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), that is held on campuses and in cities across the country. The event is based on Mahatma Gandhi's inspirational quote, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world," and provides opportunities for South Asians and others to give back to their communities. In 2009, over 3,000 people contributed 6,000 service hours in 70 cities and campuses across the country.
