80-20, a national, nonpartisan, Political Action Committee dedicated to winning equal opportunity and justice for Asian Americans, endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for President during its endorsement convention on August 2.

In an email, S.B. Woo, a member of the 80-20 executive committee, said the group endorses Obama for two reasons.

“First, Sen. Obama committed unequivocally to give Asian American equal opportunity, while Sen. McCain did not. Second, Sen. Obama's party did more deeds for Asian Americans in the last four years,” Woo wrote.

He added that Gov. Howard Dean, Chair of the Democratic National Committee, had promised to work with 80-20 to encourage the Congress to hold a public hearing on the glass ceiling over Asian Americans in workplaces. For more information, visit www.80-20initiative.net.
