On Feb. 17 and 18, crowds gathered for some Lunar New Year fun at the Chinatown Center. Music, dance, Taiko drums and kung fu were featured performances.

The highlight was the Lion and dragon dance performed by youth from Walnut Creek Elementary School and the Texas Dragon/Lion Dance Team. It was a spectacular performance complete with firecracker explosions and at least five different lions dancing its way throughout the entire center.

Kids and families dressed up in traditional clothing, lucky red envelopes were distributed and fun was had by all during this two-day event.
